Before the world had a saw mill, you had to make all beams in your house or family barn with your hands and an ax. If you are ever in an old barn, stop and take close look at the timbers. If it is old enough, you will see hours of hard work into each timber in the structure.

Now fast forward to today, that look is coming back and here at Kramer's we can make our new timbers and mantels — as requested — look just like the old ones. It just takes a little time and a good ax. The only true way to mimic that look is to use the same technique the old timers used.
