Cedar Characteristics

For many post and exposed structural projects, big-box stores and lumber yards will sell you chemically impregnated, treated lumber. Why not use something natural and beautiful instead?

Cedar is naturally rot resistant and insect resistant and performs well when in contact with water or soil. It is ideal for outdoor building applications, including, but not limited to, saunas, fencing, posts, window trim and more. In these and other applications, cedar is ideal because it is relatively light when compared to other woods and combines its rot and insect resistance characteristics with an admirable amount of strength.

Kramer Cedar Timbers

Our cedar timbers are 8" x 8" and are oversawn by 1/2 inch. When you purchase them, we resaw them back to the final dimension to provide you with a nice, bright timber.

Custom dimensions are available. We can resaw to any size lumber that a client or contractor may need.
